  • Metroid 2 remake.

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Looks fairly cool, of course since it's not being made by Nintendo, the author is probably going to get a C&D Order eventually(Hi2u Chrono Resurrection) now that it's been given exposure. :(

Nintendo should remake it though, that was actually the 2D one I enjoyed the most; despite it being the most unpopular of the first three.

It was a great game for it's time, but it has aged absolutely horribly, I tried playing it on an emulator a few times, I just couldn't handle it.

For its time, and for a Gameboy game, it was quite outstanding. I am not sure how I would feel about it today, some NES era titles have aged fine. Though Metroid 2 may not be among them: Metroid 1 and Kid Icarus are incredibly painful to play nowadays.

Metroid 1 is fine to play. I fiddled with it when I got Prime. It's just an old-school platformer. Icarus hasn't aged quite as well, though. I've played the demo a few times on Brawl and it's a bit painful now. That one needs a SNES-level remake

I'm intriqued by Kid Icarus and I think one for the Wii could work really well, especially if they make it more unique--branch it away from Metroid, while keeping Metroid elements, and start panning out new characters and whatnot. Nintendo needs some new Franchises, and why not pick one that's already established, but not mainstream?
