Believe it or not, I actually got that Sudoku game (demo only) as a research project. I had never played a Sudoku game before (yes, I know, I'm old and out of touch) but my developer bud and I are making a version so I had to actually play Sudoku so I can help out with the design. It took me about half an hour to do a simple puzzle, I had no idea what I was doing.
I actually spent a lot of that time analyzing the UI. Not being a Sudoku player, I really had no idea what is a good UI and what isn't. There was some neat things in that version but you really couldn't put more than one number in any square, it was irritating. I know there's multiple ways to try and solve it but that seem to be a pretty basic one. It did let you konw when you get a row, column, or full square correct, though, even locked in the numbers. Not a bad idea for beginners.
I do actually have 4 48-hour cards left and I'll be gone for this weekend and the one after next. They expire on June 30 so I'll be lookin' to use them up. I actually end up playing Carcassone more than anything, actually. GTA4 and Gears are fun but it's so easy to do a 10-minute Carcassone game.
