I know a few of you guys are into the translated ROMs. There's been a bunch of new updates I figured I'd pass along in case you don't know about them or haven't look at them in a long time:
1) Mother 3 / Earthbound 2 (http://mother3.fobby.net/)
These guys are starting to get pretty damned close. Well over the 90% range. They're into the final clean-up hacking and finazling some stuff before final testing. Should be out before the end of the year. I have the ROM for this and am just waiting for the translation to be finished. There isn't a Mother 1 & 2 (GBA compilation in Japan) translation group that I know of yet. But that would rule as I would then be able to play the entire series on my DS. Here's hoping.
2) Policenauts (http://policenauts.net/english/)
There's been hardly anything for the last year on this project but earlier in the month they suddenly had some big updates. Not really sure when it's gonna be done but Snatcher and Kojima fans would definitely be interested. I just found a live torrent (finally) for this and I hope to get it soon. I'm hoping this one is out before next summer
3) Persona 2: Innocent Sin (http://tsumi.wordpress.com/)
There was actually 2 Persona 2s and are basically two different perspectives of the same storyline as direct sequels to Persona 1 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persona_2). The one we got (and that is fucking rare now) is Eternal Punishment. For some reason, Atlus did not see fit to give us both (likely due to the fact they came out after the PS2 was already out) so there are fans translating this one. Like with Policenauts, I've finally found a working torrent for this which I hope to have downloaded soon. Not sure when it's gonna be released but if you're a fan of the Shin Megami series, it's something to look out for
4) Metroid 2 remake (http://metroid2remake.blogspot.com/)
This is the same one Eric posted a while back. Not really a translation it's actually a one-man project to re-do Metroid 2, which is very dated nowadays, using the Super Metroid engine and graphics. Looks pretty neat. The guy's just released another demo. I haven't tried them myself yet but he seems to make these demos kind of small mini-chapters. I never finished Metroid 2 myself but it was a pretty good game back in the day (very old feeling now) so I'm hoping this one turns out good.

I was there on that fateful day, were you?
