I'm actually haveing a ton of fun. it's definitely more of a party game than a I'm gonna compete to kick your ass well balanced virtua fighter tekken game. ....it's more a hey lets make a game fast, fun and simple to pck up and play.

yeah Mortal Kombat Vs DCU a game I fully expected to suck......I'm finding to be extremely entertaining with my budies at the shop

I dunno. I think you can make a "party" fighter that still have a lot of technical skill. Not everything has to be a "buzzkill" without a lot of flash like Virtua Fighter, but games like Marvel vs Capcom and Tekken seem to pull of the combination of the two quite well. Even KI was very technical for something of its style.

The Mortal Kombat series, on the other hand, always struck me as something you could master in a week or two.

I dunno. I'm having a lot of fun playing with friends and really. it's got me really enjoying kicking ass and taking names......or getting my ass kicked. the combo chaining can get completely ridiculous but there is nothing like haning out with friends playing a game that while it's simple also has enough depth that it will keep me satisfied learning which special moves chain into which. It's a great arty game and it's the first time I can actually say a mortal kombat game is any god in a long long time. straight up old school it be.

If I get it I'll probably get the Euro version that's uncut heh.

It's something to get used to, definitely, but at least they were trying back then. I hope to god they didn't put in a run button. That was a major pain to be holding down the entire way. (Why would you NOT run?!)
