The major problem with the Sonic brand is that Sega releases a new game every year. They have like 80 different versions of Sonic Adventure now, and only the first one is special.

Sonic was my childhood man-- Genesis was the first system I owned! I remember ignoring everyone at Christmas while I sat up in my room trying to beat Sonic 2 (no saves aarrgg!).

I don't think Sega cares anymore... it seems like they threw in enough Sonic to entice the fans, but then the rest is a big "fuck you for playing"
