Tom Clancy's HAWX
I'm pretty sure none of you fellows are going to pick this game up, so I'm going to tell you what you are missing.
I enjoy the ace combat series, maybe a little too much. I was a little sceptical when I heard about HAWX, but the demo really impressed me. I then went out and purchased it when I picked up RE5 this friday, and I got to sit down and play it on Saturday. It has a cool mechanic when you switch your "enhanced reality system" (ERS) off and all of the safety measures are taken of of your plane and you can pull some really cool, but physically impossible manoeuvres.
Other than that, it plays EXACTLY like an ace combat game, albeit with many more planes (although most are just minor variations on eachother). So, for me, that was good. I blazed through the entire campaign in a single sitting, but it has an option to play every single mission in the game as a 4 player coop squadron. That was pretty cool, but in my blaze through it I didn't take them up on the offer to match me with anyone else. I beat the game on hard (the medium difficulty, as the options were "normal, hard, and elite"), and I did die a couple times... though mostly from stupid decisions that I made and getting shot down by SAMs or AAA batteries. It was a really cool game, but I wouldn't recommend you get it for full price. Get it used, or wait for the price to go down, and then mayhaps you could notify bovine and get some multi going (as there are options for that outside of the coop campaign).
