Final Fantasy 8 was released, Dreamcast was released, Lavos awoke from his long slumber and destroyed the world.

I am thinking of replaying FF8 again as a celebration =)

Oh the Dreamcast. Had the best first two years of any system ever and everyone ignored it for the PS2. I loved that system so.

Sega has made some cryptic announcements lately. They said that a new 2D Sonic is in the works, and that it is "HD". Weird they would say that instead of just 360/PS3, could it be a new Sega system? Or just market buzz words?

They likely have not signed any deals with Microshaft or Sony regarding the platform(s) the game will appear on

Or maybe on a new handheld system/phone? The 2D Sonic games on GBA and DS each sold in the millions. They've been much more successful than the 3D console versions which haven't sold very well (usually in the hundreds of thousands).

It also doesn't make a whole lot of sense to release them on Microsoft or Sony consoles considering their lower sales and the fact that Sonic has always sold very poorly on those systems as opposed to Nintendo and Sega systems.

Big marks for putting Typing of the Dead on there. What an amazing game that was.

And Soul Calibur at #4? At least #2 or #3 for me.
