This is a very weird partnership. We haven't heard anything from Ireland's Gaijinworks since he formed after the year after Working Designs was shut down

For those of you who have no idea who Working Designs is, back in the Sega CD, Saturn, PS1 days, they were basically Atlus, releasing strong but small Jap titles, mostly RPGs. They were reknown for their excellent, and often humourous, translations, excellent voice acting (back then, that was saying something), incredible quality on their manuals, which were all in thick, high-gloss paper, and unparalleled packaging and extras that came with their games.
And if you don't know who Sunsoft is, that wouldn't surprise me. They were HUGE in the NES days and made some pretty strong titles in the SNES days as well but have been gone from the US market for generations. They did release some original stuff, like the incredible Blaster Master which, if you haven't played it, is coming to the VC very soon. But they were really known as being the first, and still one of the only, companies that could release excellent licensed titles. In fact, all of their licensed titles were excellent, including Batman, Fester's Quest, Road Runner's Death Valley Rally, etc. Even Journey to Silius, which was a Terminator license until that got pulled weeks before release, was a very solid title.
As an old-school gaming fan, I love the fact that these two are coming back. I just hope to hell they can deliver the quality they have in the past
