The game is beautiful beyond words and the plot and exposition seem to be up there with the finest work Square has ever done, which is a real goddamned shame because the battle engine drops frames like Doom running on a 386 and the gameplay itself is the biggest, most confusing least enjoyable clusterfuck I've ever seen in an RPG battle system.
Wait for the $3.99 price point drop, then buy it and watch the intro and never open it again. That would be my suggested enjoyment-maximization of that title (possibly going to watch the prettier cinematics and catch the basics of the plot on YouTube when you're done too.)
IDK. If I had the chance, I would not buy it again at ten dollars. I might buy it at four. Given what they spent on that title, you can decide for yourselves whether or not I think they did a good job.
