  • Metroid 3's controls annoy me...

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

However, as Zeus has assured me, most of the Wii games also have the ability to play them on a GameCube controller. So, I'll just locate my GC controller here and plug it in.

...

Goddammit!

Most, yes, not all.

BTW, how long did you play it before it annoyed you and you posted this message? Did you try changing the sensitivity like everyone and their mother suggests?

Well, I've been playing for about 4-5 hours, and it still annoys me. My biggest problem is that the Wiimote cursor has a tendency to bounce around like a Jack Russel fucking terrier when the mood suits it. I have the Wii remote sensitivity to 5, and the game's set to Normal. I tried Basic and god, that made turning a huge chore. Advanced just seems to make the problem worse.

It all goes back to the unreliability of the cursor, though. If I'm sitting on my recliner, the cursor goes crazy. Turning the bar at an angle has limited success, but I pretty much have to sit at the sofa to play anything. We're only talking a distance of 6-7 feet.

Though, I just noticed the three lights on the sensitivity test, which is the reason why I came down to my PC now to look it up. Apparently, I have another "heat source" that is interfering. Sigh... why couldn't they use RF like everybody else?

EDIT: I have no fucking clue. There is no other "IR sources". Hell, I could turn the sensor bar on its side and the third light remains.

I have never had this issue before and I have several heat sources in the living room. Try repositioning it, it is possible that the source is blocked; I am guessing that if you are in a reclining chair that you are below the top edge of the TV; if this is the case, then place the sensor below the TV.

If you are having issues still, there remains the possibility that your IR source is defective.

Yeah, I have no clue what issues you're having. I've never had anything close to that happen

It was a light in the kitchen. What the hell? Apparently, the remote was sensing it. I thought the remote was only a transmitter.

I'll try the game later to see if it improves any.
