I like that they went back to a more traditional 2D style gameplay, and mixed it with a lot of cool 3D stuff. This is a game I want to play =)

As great as this game looks and as much as I wanna want it, it's Team Ninja, not exactly a great pedigree. DoA was an aight fighting game, nothing overly spectacular, the volleyball games were HORRIBLE games, and I'm one of the few people who didn't like the Ninja Gaiden games for the new generation (I believe I referred to them as glorified Tenchu games). So I'm still very skeptical, even if I do love the direction they're going and the fact it's gonna have full-on cutscenes with a full story. It's a revelation for Nintendo but I've been getting these great stories and cutscenes for the last few generations now. It's about time they were dragged kicking and screaming into the 90s.SineSwiper wrote:Hehe, you know what it reminds me of? Shadow Complex. So, a game that was modeled after Metroid is now modeled FOR a newer Metroid.
Anyway, it does look good. I've noticed that the better games on the Wii are the ones that forgo the Nunchucks, and go back to the standard controller (maybe with some pointing action). Like Super Paper Mario, it looks like the pointing is only used for scanning, and not for the faster combat.
Ninja gaiden and tenchu have absolutely nothing in common other than that the protagonists are ninjas. Tenchu is stealth and Gaiden is all combat.Zeus wrote:I'm one of the few people who didn't like the Ninja Gaiden games for the new generation (I believe I referred to them as glorified Tenchu games).
Bovine's right on the first point. Doesn't mean he's not a dummy like you for not liking NG (at least the Xbox one). Shit was da bom cos.bovine wrote:Ninja gaiden and tenchu have absolutely nothing in common other than that the protagonists are ninjas. However, I did not like the xbox and 360/ps3 ninja gaidens either.
Yeah, he's right. I was probably referring more to the fact that they were both ninja games that I very much disliked.Blotus wrote:Bovine's right on the first point. The game was really hard and I was no good at it. I am not saying that the game is bad, I just did not like it. I enjoyed the first devil may cry game, but not the second, and never played the third. I enjoyed the visceral nature of the god of war games, but they were much easier than DMC or ninja gaiden. It was not until bayonetta came out that I had any real appreciation for these very technical and difficult action games.Blotus wrote:Bovine's right on the first point.
