The game is live worldwide now.

The UI reminds me of Civilization 1, and the towns people look like populous. You would think that Take 2 would dump more money into this. Alas, Flash is fairly annoying to work with on games of this size.

Anyway; I find the game, despite its flaws, to be an alright casual title to play. It has some simple mini-games that make it a little better than other Grundy facebook games... Although I usually prefer to play these games in the background of what I am doing, so those mini-games might get irritating; although they're normally very short.

Fighting is essentially setting up battles and sending units to fight. I joined the British Commonwealth, which is BY FAR the most powerful civ in the (my) world right now; although I don't know how they divide up players. It seems a little unbalanced with all the good players flocking to one banner. I almost feel like leaving and joining the Romans, at least then I would have a shot at running things; but staying in the British Empire is certain victory.

I just went heavy on food production, and put fully upgraded Granaries beside my houses. At the same time I am spending all my money and extra production on building military forces.

The battle system is weird, you can take military forces into any battle anywhere; they will fight automatically. I am not sure what gain there is for it; I mostly just sent troops into battle and slaughtered everyone on all opposing sides in order to just do something. The game went down before I could research whether or not I achieved anything. It didn't look like I was losing any troops.
