So, in Japan, they get a d'load code for the original MGS (PS1) and HD versions of 2 and 3, both Subsistence editions. This means you get the extras from both collections, which includes the ROMs of Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2.
For "international" gamers, you don't get the d'load code for the original. It's replaced instead with an HD version of Peace Walker (sold separately in Japan)

So, the question is: if you care about this at all, which version would you prefer? I personally prefer our version since it ain't too hard to find a copy of the original MGS on the PS1 to play on your PS3 (or you can just buy it). I would prefer the HD version of Peace Walker. That's a game that's supposed to be as good as the PS2 ones and most will never play it.
Of course, it would be better if we got both with Portable Ops as well, allowing us to play every game in the series (not counting the Acid oddballs) on the PS3.

I was there on that fateful day, were you?
