<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Well, the story goes as follows, after lab I bumped into some people I know from Basketball, I think the reason I visited was because they had like literally 400 DVD's or something, and I was checking them out. Ordered a Pizza, popped out a few beer, started watching MI2. After that, we played a bit of Goldeneye, first time I've played that in a while. Well, I'll get to the point. They had a PC, 1.6 Ghz 422 MB RAM (something like that), 16MB graphics card, 20 inch monitor, surround sound, the shit!
First game I watched them play, this Command and Conquer game, it's boring as hell watching people play RTS games unless it's a Blizzard game, so I pretty much didn't care for that one, and I wasn't going to give it a go.
Next, Red Faction, a 2 CD game that took up 1.2 GB's or something, it seamed kind of dumb, the purpose of the game was to escape from a mine and kill a bunch of mercenaries or something. The last boss was pretty easy, just some bitch. Then I had to disarm a bomb, did that and a helicopter thing pops up, but I couldn't fight it. Score, 3/10, it's an alright game, but it's like a boring version of Perfect Dark.
Next, Rogue Spear, this game took WAY too long to set up, it's one of those team games, I played it for a bit, and I think I killed some terrorists, but failed the mission. It was alright, but still kind of dumb.
Max Payne was next, I played through some of the beginning levels, and then through this level with a lot of fire and exploding things. The whole slow motion bullet thing reminded of Conquers Bad Fur Day during the final Chapter on the Matrix level. The follow the Bullet Cam was RIGHT out of Perfect Dark, the game was alright, but the sound effects and stuff reminded me WAY too much of Perfect Dark. The crappy thing was that they made it third person, it's cool in a way, but that reminded me of an older game called Winback, it was done a lot more smoothly than Winback, but the game could have been called Winback 2. The enemies in this game seamed to even act similar to Perfect Dark. Third person fucked this game up, the control sucks on it, it would be better as a Console game I think in that area, I give this one a 6/10.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein, now this is the one I liked the most out of them all, I just liked blowing shit up in this game, AGAIN, it reminded me a lot of Perfect Dark in a lot of ways, but I guess most shooters kind of are the same. Only, in this game, the gameplay itself seamed more like Perfect Dark, the enemies reacted more like Goldeneye I think, running at you firing machine guns, or hiding in a place firing a machine gun. The blood effects weren't like Perfect Dark though (Max Payne and Red Faction I think had the same blood effects). I liked how you could hide around the corner from Nazi's and listen in on their conversations. I also played this level with this big assed Robot thing, and I have NO idea how to beat it. This one gets an 8/10, it was probably the best action title I have ever played on PC.
Overall, my opinion of PC games is the same, Console beats the living hell out of it in the gameplay department. If those sorry pieces of crap are the top games on PC, then I don't think the console gaming department has anything to fear about a possible dent in their tank of a market share on the gaming community. Sim games are still the best, Civilization 3, The Sims expansions, get 10/10's from me, other than that, even Xbox's Halo is better than most top PC games, even though Halo kind of has that boring repetetive PC Action game feel to it.
Metal Gear Solid and Grand Theft Auto 3 for PS2 and Rogue Leader for Gamecube beat the living shit out of any PC action games available. IN MY OPINION of course.</div>
