<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Developer: Enix
Publisher: Nintendo
System: SNES
Release Date: 1994

This is a game that will perhaps bring back many fond memories of most of those who have had the opportunity to play it. The gameplay system is very similar to that of Zelda, you have a life meter which you may increase by defeating enemy bosses. Some differences you'll notice from Zelda is that rather than a sword the character uses a flute, and also the graphics are more similar to Secret of Mana or Secret of Evermore. At it's release date there were no games available to date which had a musical score to match Illusions of Gaia, and graphically was better than any epic adventure game yet on the market.

You are Will, a young man living in a fishing village, but you will soon discover further along the way that you will be able to go to special area's existing beyond time and space and it is here that you'll sometimes be able to morph into different Warriors from the past, including a Dark Knight by the name of Freedan (which is the first you will discover). Along the way you will meet up with many different people, and despite the game being published by Nintendo, they did not censore anything, this game goes all out.

Anyways, in the game at the beginning you soon discoever that you have special powers, because of your family you can move rocks by spinning your fluit around. Your are summoned to the Castle by Prince Edward who wants your fathers ring (Your father was lost in the Tower of Babel), and so you go to him and give him the ring, he throws you in the dungeon, and so begins your quest!

One very nice aspect of the game is that traveling throughout the world you will notice that many area's of the world are similar to ancient ruins found in this world, including the Hindu Temple of Angkor Wat, The Great Wall of China, the lost Incan Civilization, the Mysterious Nazca tribe, Easter Island, and much more. Aside from the Ancient Ruins, there are also many different towns and castles, area's populated by people to be discovered.

There is one major flaw that I should warn about before I finish this, save up all your cure items and only use them in desperate situations, most to all of them will be needed for the end of the game. I think this is an overlooked flaw in the game, but it's nothing major if you just remember this.

There are secrets in the game, one thing you should try to do is to collect all of the Red Jewels in the game, I am still not sure what happens though =)

Time to takes to complete the game: I don't know
Difficulty: Hard
Fun Factor: *Thumbs up*
Story: depends what you like
Atmosphere: Dark, strange, and full of adventure, kind of like an Indiana Jones Movie or Labyrinth.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>There are harder games, but 95% of the games on SNES were easier than Illusion of Gaia. It's been a while since I played, maybe it's easier than I thought, but I remember it being the hardest game I owned for SNES (With the exception of the Terranigma import)</div>
