  • Skies of Arcadia Legends first impressions (vs. The orriginal). No spoilers.

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I've only just begun playing the game but already the changes are there. The major MAJOR thing that I noticed is that load times are now non-existant. Cosmetically, the battle sound effects seam to have been improved, as well as the graphics in battle (and some out), the characters look more realistic. The framerate is also very apparently improved, the game runs very smoothly, and animations seam to be improved. The characters themselves look better than the Dreamcast version, in particular, their faces, the textures are much improved over the dreamcast version. I guess this could be considered a minor spoiler, but I have already met new people in the game.

All in all, I'm very excited about playing this game again, they have taken my favorite RPG of all time, and eliminated the flaws, and have also added a great deal and improved certain aspects of the game.

After playing for just an hour, I can re-confirm that this is still my favorite RPG available. If you have a Gamecube, you should buy this game. My favorite aspect of the game is the strong epic sense due to the setting and the characters; it really adds a lot to the game, and no game yet that I have played surpasses it in this area.

I'll have more impressions later on once I reach Ixa'Taka (a meaningless name unless you have played the game before). Ixa'Taka deals with the part of the game where nearly all the complaints came from.</div>
