  • I really like this review of Xenosaga

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I replayed Xenogears recently, and I found that I enjoyed exploring the world and all of its places, towns, caves, and ruins. I like the story, but I don't think it's that great, it has a lot of text to it, and that's about it. I think when people play Xenogears they tend to forget that the game itself is really great.

Anyways, the main issue I had with the Xenogears story is I felt all of these links to Western Science Fiction and Religious names was kind of ridiculous. I think it's funny when people think the story is somehow way deeper because they call Deus Weapon God, or they name countries after the Hebrew Calendar, and they make references to crusifiction and a Christian Cathedral. I mean, on their own, these places are fun to visit, I loved living the Brave New World society in Solaris's capital city (still that's more setting than the story, they didn't really go anywhere with the Brave New World society in the story, either they didn't even consider it or they just ran out of time, ID destroyed the whole city before anything could happen).</div>
