  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

With my commute, I mostly play GBA games now :-)

Minish Cap: This is an excellent game, very worthy of the Zelda name. Great story, lots and lots of things to do, very active world with lots of secrets and surprises (the Kinstones REALLY help this), beautiful graphics, and the classic Zelda gameplay we all love with some minor upgrades (new moves from the Swordmasters and some items). Really, the only knocks I have on this game is that it was quite simple (not overly difficult and they gave you two guides to tell you what to do) and some of the parts were damned near cryptic on what to do next. Pissed me off for a bit, but the game's so good, it becomes a minor quabble. Anyone who loves Zelda should get this....now

Burnout 3: what a fun game. The Crash parts are just so much fun to play and make you work a little to get the golds (got all 100 in about 7 hours of play). The actual racing is spiced up with the crashes and the different modes of play. There's tons to do and it's fun to play, but at the end of the day, it's just not up to par racing-wise as Gotham or GT4. A little more arcadey (read: not as much racing skills required to play) than the others, which is good to most people, but feels a little short to those of us who play them a little more. Still definetely worth the purchase, particularly now that it dropped to $25 Cdn.

Mario vs Donkey Kong: I might have mentioned this one before, but I just got back into it. What a fun puzzle game (sort of a platformer puzzler). You basically have two mini-levels together and a timer and you have to figure out how to get through them. Set up a little like Mario World 2 in terms of levels (6 levels in a world plus and ending level and a boss and 6 worlds). Tons of fun and makes you work a little. Great pickup.
