I just got the game last week, I haven't put a lot of time into it; I am not really dissapointed with the game, but clearly the game is not as fun as the original N64 version (though that might be because it is not a fresh experience, and the Xbox controller isn't as good of a controller for this game as the N64 one was; which the game was really designed for). Though the graphics are absolutely stunning. I still recommend this game to everyone with an Xbox.

The reviewing community hasn't accepted it well based on the poorly done multiplayer, it has averaged about 80% whereas Bad Fur Day averaged 90% (according to Gamerankings). I still say that based on the single player alone the game deserves to be scored about as high as Bad Fur Day, reading a lot of reviews, it seems they lowered the score based on the multiplayer; they focussed on the multiplayer because it is the only aspect of the game that seems relatively new.

Reviewers saying: The original game does have a dated feeling to it now considering that some of the newer movies which they spoofed aren't exactly on the same levels of the classics which they spoofed. The Matrix and Saving Private Ryan spoofs do not have the same impact as it did in 2001. They have also cut things out and made the game more simplified since people felt it was too difficult originally (I disagree, I feel the game was perfect as far as difficulty goes). All in all they're saying it is a good remake with a very dated feel to it.

As far as Rare goes, they have really slipped, they are not the same company they used to be; the masters of gaming innovation. Conker's Bad Fur Day was really their last great game. I still haven't played Banjo Kazzooie 2 though, but I have heard that it is more like Donkey Kong 64 rather than the original Banjo Kazooie. Even though the company was for a long time the most highly acclaimed developer in the videogame world; that was during the 90's, things have changed a lot since then. Microsoft payed a gigantic chunck of cash for them as well.
