Needless to say the most interesting remake would be turning one of the 8 or 16 bit FFs 3D.

I'm drooling over this game anyway. It's the only one I know coming up that I consider absolutely non-missable in all ways possible for me. Setzer being there (and whatever other FF cameos they want to bring in) are just icing on the cake.

I'd be worried about being disappointed - well, it's always good to not get expectations up too high, with any upcoming media - but I saw it and played a bit at E3, and didn't really see anything not to like.

There's another FF cameo in the game that *must* have gotten press coverage around E3 time, but I won't spoil it for you guys unless you missed it then and would like the spoiler.

Dude! Setzer *is* a 16-bit character...do you mean a full remake of one of those stories, but with modern graphics and technology?

I'd be surprisingly down with that. As much as I want to encourage innovation within the industry, I have, as do many others, a soft spot for FFVI and VI...

FF3DS is the first one to get that treatment in the FF series. More will probably follow eventually. Maybe not right away, but I would say in the next 3-8 years

I've found sequels of games I liked tend to be disappointing, but I'm hoping this will be the exception. I don't see too much material to work with in terms of plot after KH assuming the two games are supposed to be related, but maybe they can pull something off.

Heh I remember that tech demo square showed of FFVI for the Ultra 64.

They release an FF tech demo every generation.

N64 - Final Fantasy III
PS2 - Final Fantasy 8
PS3 - FF7

Just a curiosity here, how many people here have played Chain of Memories. It IS direct storyline continuation, and gives you a good idea of what to expect from KHII as far as where they are taking the storyline.

And who else here is curious as to just who the blond kid with a keyblade is? You see him talking to DiZ and Namine in the most recent trailer I have seen, and in the older one I saw you see him with a light and dark keyblade. Anyone have any ideas?

BTW, the last song on Hard in Guitar Hero (the Ozzy one) is freakin' HARD. I wasted I Love Rocky Road on Expert and I can't get through the Ozzy one.
