Not only will E3 be damned interesting, if they announce the price point for the Rev and it's actually $200, I am going to spend the next seven months salivating. Literally salivating.

And I must say, I think Nintendo's PR department is absolutely in the zone right now. With the slow trickle of tantalizing news about the Rev's hardware and virtual console abilities, the unveiling of Red Steel, and the continued phenomenon that is the DS (Lite)...when's the last time you heard anyone complaining about Twilight Princess being delayed?

That "first person shooter" is Red Steel, a game being produced by Ubisoft and is also GameInformer's May issue cover story.

Not only can you use the remote thing to aim around, you can also twist your wrist to hold the pistol gangster style.

In addition to guns, there's also some samurai slashing action which involves making motions to unsheathe your sword and then performing special motions to perform slashes on your opponent.

Yeah, I'm pretty pumped about the Revolution. This just sounds damn cool.

Edit: And, uh... it looks like Seeker already covered Red Steel in another post.

Well, I feel stupid. :)

Not to mention that I mentioned Red Steel in my post as well! (I get GI too.)

And the reason why the article mentioned "a first-person shooter" instead of Red Steel specifically is that they don't know that RS will utilize the nunchaku's motion sensor - all they were able to confirm so far is the sensor's existence. None of the RS coverage so far has mentioned anything about the nunchaku other than the analog stick being used to move and the triggers on it being used to duck and jump. (No word on whether any of the buttons on the revmote will allow players to turn and pose.)

Now, I'd say that it's very likely that Red Steel *will* end up using this technology, but it hasn't been confirmed yet.

Last night I'd read the GI article about Red Steel, and have been pumped about it since.

So I got halfway through your post, and the rest just transformed before my eyes into this...

"POST ABOUT RED STEEL!!!!111!!1oneone!!!"

So I obliged.
