How is the X-Box 360 doing?

OK. They announced Halo 3, which is huge news. And they got GTA4 with some exclusive downloadable content. They also announced Fable 2, which should be good.

Their big thing is the integration of Xbox 360 and Vista and kinda co-gaming systems. I guess they both connect to Live together and you can play the same games together as well.

Gears of War is also about the second coolest thing I've seen so far at the show. It's killer-app quality by any reasonable standard.

The Fable 2 trailer reminds me A LOT of the Wind Waker commercial.

Notable things I've seen:

- Lost Planet (from the demo, this is a pretty damn fine game)
- Bioshock (umm...awesome? Yes. Not getting enough attention? Yes.)
- ShadowRun (piece of shit is not ShadowRun. Looks like it might be a fun FPS "with elves" though)
- Fable 2 (rumours of a Live MP function?)
- Halo 3
- GTA 4
- Gears of War (looks pretty damn cool)
- Viva Pinata (kinda like Animal Crossing. Looks pretty promising)
- DOAXVB (borderline digital porn....finally!)
- HD-DVD addon
- Mass Effect (very excited)
- SC:DA

There was more obviously, but these are the things that interested me the most/left an impression. It's generally agreed that MS had the best showing, so far from what I've read...though apparently Nintendo is becoming a favorite, at least crowd-wise (and SSBM:B did look cool).

To add a couple things to what Kali was saying...

First, I posted a whole bunch of impressions on E3 trailers and the Lost Planet demo in this thread.

Also, games that I think look pretty cool/deserve tracking as they get closer to release:

-Lost Planet
-Bioshock
-Viva Pinata
-Mass Effect
-Phantasy Star Universe
-Too Human
-Huxley
-F.E.A.R.
-Gears of War
-Live Arcade Volume 2 (Lumines Live, Contra, Paperboy, Defender, Galaga)

The second wave of 360 games are looking to be pretty safe bets - of course, I'd wait for actual reviews to come out if you're thinking of buying a 360 based on those games alone. The current games aren't half bad, though - I like my 360 a lot, and actually have spent the last two nights just downloading trailers, demos, and trial versions of Arcade titles (as you can see from my gamercard). And this is *before* I've spent any quality time with Oblivion.
