I don't get it.

Yes, it's a pretty trailer. Yes, that's supposedly using the in-game engine. But during a 15 minute clip, there was no gameplay footage. It looks impressive, but they gave no indication how the game will play. So what's the big deal?

The big deal is that each of the other three was more or less a life-changing experience for me, that they can (and probably will) use the motion-sensitivity on the controller to heighten the experience even more, and that...well, it looks like that, and yes, that does use the in-game engine.

The big deal is that it's the ONLY big-named thing that Sony had exclusively. GTA4 is now multi-platform and they didn't have too much in the way of first- or second-party stuff (Killzone was even absent), so it was really the big thing for the PS3. That and the gyroscopic sensor in the controller.

MGS was amazing, MGS2 was decent, and MGS3 was incredible once you got past the Cobras. So I'm lookin' forward to it 'cause the last one ended so damned well, but it'll be about 5 years before I play it due to the cost of the PS3

I'm about as big an MGS fan as some people are for Star Wars, these days. Hell, if Kojima redid the first three for the PS3, I'd probably buy them all again.

I haven't really heard anything about MGS's gameplay, or how fun it is. I saw a trailer that demonstrated some pretty graphics, but none of it looked like gameplay. So yeah the game looks pretty, that's about all I can tell so far.
