This was already posted months ago.
Right now it looks like Final Fantasy 13 seems to be targeting the ADHD audience....

They did XI for 360 and PC, remakes for GBA and DS, and Crystal Chronicles for GC... Oh, and I hear sony sold a couple playstations. Three or four or something.... yeah, something like that.
Let's hear it for installed user bases! ;D

Heh, you never know what direction they'll take if PS3 totally bombs. I could probably get that game to work smoothly on my PC.

I hate to ask this...but is the main character a guy or a girl? I was going back and forth the whole video...I think it's a girl, right?

With XII comming out here soon, I have been talking about it with a friend of mine here who played the import version. He says its such a huge departure for the series, gameplay wise, that he is thinking that a lot of what he calls the "FFVII kiddies" are going to have issues with it. Should be fun to watch ^_^

It is pretty huge, it's using a variation of the FFXI system, but more polished, and FFXIII is using an even newer version of the one found in FFXII, except it seems to run ALOT smoother, and brings a new definition to the term "Real Time".

It's impossible to tell considering there is no gameplay clip that lasts more than about half a second.
The problem I have is that the new development crew seems to be newbies with very poorly done games on their resume (such as that crappy Vincent game). When they brought in Matsuno for Final Fantasy 12, he was already a well established developer with several great games under his belt (Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Ogre Battle), and his Final Fantasy game is being praised by some sources (such as Famitsu) as being the greatest game in the history of the series. I have no faith in these new developers.
Sakaguchi, has also left Square since Final Fantasy 10, and currently heads up Mist Walker which has games in development for Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS. Games include collaborations with Toriyama and Uematsu who also have ties to the company. If they bring in Mitsuda as well, that may actually even yield a game which could be very similar to Chrono Trigger since they would have a lot of the CT development forces available.
Point being: I have no faith in the FF13 development team to deliver, and I totally expect them to fail in their rushjobs of 5 different FF13 titles. That is, unless they get someone with some skill involved in the project.

That has to be the dumbest reason I've ever heard for not being excited about a game. The development team turned you off? What the fuck. The team that handled Final Fantasy X is handling Final Fantasy XIII, and the Kingdom Hearts 2/Advent Children team is handling Final Fantasy Versus XIII, what's not to like?

They need to hurry up and release the Wii, so that Sony/MS realizes that nobody wants to pay $600-1000 for a glorified computer when they can just buy a high-powered PC for that price.
Man, I'm so pissed at Sony, and their goddamn system isn't even out.

That is one of the best compliments of the game, IMO.

Don't forget, you're getting a blue-ray DVD player with that, so you can spend an additional $1000 replacing your entire DVD collection you spent the last 5 years building up with better versions

FF1-10 were all Sakaguchi games, he no longer works for Square. Sakaguchi was to Square as Miyamoto is to Nintendo. Only now Sakaguchi, along with a lot of important development assets, such as Uematsu (who did music for FF1-10), now are working with Mistwalker.
FF13 is headed by Motomu Toriyama (No relation to the famed Akira Toriyama) who did Bahamuts Lagoon and Final Fantasy X-2. See why I am not interested yet?
A lot of very key people have left Square in the past 5 years; most of them actually,.
