This could be interesting, though only if Square actually manages to do something good, they don't exactly have the best track record with direct sequels. If Matsuno is working on it, then I have a lot of faith in the title.

Looks set to be directed by Nomura, apparently. HATE.

Everyone seems to hate Nomura, I guess Matsuno has cut all ties with the company if this is the truth. It is sad that Nomura is the best director that they can come up with nowadays. At least it is not Motomu Toriyama doing the directing (the guy on FF13, who also did such genius works as Final Fantasy X-2 and Ergheiz).

Hey, knowing Nomura, this game should be identical to Kingdom Hearts, assuming the logic that his game designs follow his character designs (that is, it will be pretty much the same as his last game).

Some new news on the title, it will have a lot of simularities to the PS2 game, but it is not a sequel or a side story, rather it is more like an alternate story; so even though it shares much of the world, characters, and elements as the PS2 game, it does not tie in any more than say Tenchi OAV ties into Tenchi Universe.
