Wow.....
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3153775
You only get 30 cars and 2 tracks with the PREMIUM edition of the game (NONE of EITHER with the "Classic" edition....YOU CAN'T PLAY THE GAME YOU JUST BOUGHT WITHOUT PAYING MORE FOR A CAR AND A TRACK)? OK, I can understand microtransactions to enhance or expand a game, but to FORCE the player to buy stuff just to get the whole game? This is ass-fucking the consumer in the worst way.

A few posts down too old for ya or do you just hate Seeker and not read his posts?
Seems more like a pilot project to me (just something they are testing). Not like anyone was clamouring for the tech demo GTHD anyway. Not sure how I feel about...I think I'm leaning to "that's fucked up".

I dont have a problem with a game that is virtually impossible (or not worth) to get everything. It will make the online community more unique since you have to be very selective in what you want.

But you'll be paying $60 US for 30 cars and only two tracks....

Yeah, bottom line is that it is a ripoff, particularly since Gran Turismo isn't really a good game (even Viper agreed on that one, if anyone recalls Viper), its primary appeal was the wide available selection of cars and upgrades.

Gran Turismo is the best simulation racing game, period. It hasn't changed an overly huge amount, but it's still great. The appeal of it is all the tracks and cars you got and the customizability, but they're removing 2/3rds of the reason to get it here....

I wouldn't even call it a good racing simulation. This mainly due to these points: the game had very lowsy controls, and lacked a lot of standard simulation elements, such as car damage. So yeah, the car and track selection I would say are by far the main purchasing points for the game.

I agree on the damage, but it just doesn't matter to me on any level; it's purely asthetic. I disagree on the controls, I very much liked them. Each car controlled very differently and very well and changed depending on the customization. There is definetely a learning curve just like with any good racer (PGR, for instance), but the controls were excellent.
