I don't know, it looks like a fairly interesting feature to me. From what I gather it seems like a Myspace type deal, except targetted toward gaming.

I wouldn't say useless. I like the idea of in-game events showing up on the board like in his Animal Crossing example. I doubt I'll use it for anything besides that.
