Bioshock - For the 360 and the PC

A game that's not out yet...why am I bringing it up? A couple reasons. First, it looks awesome. Secondly, it is for the most part, the sequel to one of the best PC games ever, the FPS/RPG hybrid System Shock 2. And lastly, it's by Irrational Games.

That last reason is important because although EVERY single game put out by Irrational has been absolutely stellar (not a single less than AAA game), they tend to sell pretty shitty comparitively. If you can't happen to stomach grabbing a 360 for whatever reason (*cough*), then you obviously have a PC - so keep an eye on this game.

Yep, it looks and sounds unbelievably good, and Irrational are the business. I can't wait for it.

Not a big PC gamer, so I haven't played any of those. But I know of enough people who love System Shock 2.

SS2 was one of my favorite games of all time. Definately one of the best FPSs out there. I looked at the demo, and it looks really cool.

So, what happened with Looking Glass Studios, and who is Irrational? I don't understand the transistion.

Looking Glass folded ten million years ago (by which I mean, in 2000).

Irrational was founded by three Looking Glass ex-pats in '97. SS2 was codeveloped by Looking Glass and Irrational. Aside from SS2, Irrational developed the awesome Freedom Force (I think that was mostly their Canberra branch?) and the pretty decent Tribes: Vengeance and SWAT 4.
