If any of you Canadians want one, here you go. They won't ship to the US.

If anyone wants to buy one and ship it to me, I'll pay them for it. :)

No real desire for one, not at that price with its current lineup. We'll see next year when MGS4 comes out.....

You can buy the 60 GB model on Ebay right now for as low as 700 USD if you really want one.

No you can't. Show me one auction that ended at that price.

$830 is what it finished at, and it only finished so low because:

a) No identifiable pictures from seller
b) seller has no feedback
c) seller provides no personal info
d) seller only accept cash (or equivilent)
e) seller provides no gauruntees

Bidders are gonna avoid that kinda auction like the plague, because of the high chance of scam. Unless that's the type of auction you are suggesting Lox look for, the average PS3 price on Ebay is $1200-1400 for the 60 GB. That cost will either rise or fall as we get closer to the holidays, depending on Sony supply (I expect a rise, to around $1600-1800).

If there were even one good game for the PS3 out that wasn't duplicated on the 360, I could understand those prices. But there isn't.

What that says to me is that asshole twentysomethings in the U.S. have too much money right now. There's no reason to even want a PS3 other than to be able to say you have one earlier than other people.

And so, we reach the inescapable conclusion, as usual, that people are scum. Not that you really need PS3 eBay pricing to make that conclusion...

OK, in that case, it is probably a good idea to buy and resell PS3's on Ebay =)

Actually, it is not so much people in our age categories, but well off parents who spend thousands of dollars on their spoiled brats for Christmas every year. The PS3, this christmas, is the new power wheels. Clicking on the PS3 bidders sections, you'll see that oddly a lot of the names indicate a female buyer, most likely mothers.
