Yeah I bitched about this latest Sonic Adventure a month or 2 ago. Sega butchering a good franchise. ;(

Well, I think Sega just felt the game was getting to expensive to develop, and so they stopped and released what they had; which I guess was good enough for quality control.

Seriously, what was the last <i>good</i> Sonic game? Can you even really call it a "good franchise" at this point?

Or maybe Knuckles Chaotix...but it didn't have Sonic in it and I'm probably one of about 50 people who played it.

I liked the first Sonic Adventure title, and the Sonic levels in Sonic Adventure 2 were awesome. It is only really when they add all this other stuff in, seriously, it is a miss every single time. We just want to play Sonic, and go fast through the levels.

Sonic Adventure was hokay. Sonic Adventure 2's Sonic/Shadow stages owned. Shadow especially had an awesome boss near the end, in addition to the Sonic vs Shadow Finale on the raceway. Everything else since then has sucked and killed my inner child.

No, each of the games I've played (the first three plus Adventure) got boring along the way and I just stopped playing them. They're fun for a little bit, but not particularly deep and not an overly huge amount of variety. I haven't played Knuckles, so can't say anything.

To me, that just makes it a decent franchise, not good.

Sonic 2 kicked ass, despite what Zeus thinks =)
