If they can pull this one off well on XBLA, it's huge. If the companies can emulate PS1 games, even earlier ones, that hurts Sony's Playstation download service big time by giving the publishers another place to publish their PS1 games. That was one of the major draws to the PS3 downloading is that you get full PS1 games.

Let me know how well ths plays (after it's been optimized and cleaned up), I'm curious.

I'll let you know the day they release it. Now I don't feel like such a loser for having to sell my copy some time ago.

I have it on PSX, fairly good, I rank it about 4th, 5th or 6th in the series:

1) Dracula's Curse
2) Super Castlevania
3) Rondo of Blood (a lot of the real fans rank this as #1, but I feel the difficulty is too easy to justify it, I also didn't find it as fun as 3 or 4, it was more about the flash and music that people rank it so high)
4/5/6) Symphony and the two DS ones; I can't say I like Portrait the best of them yet, but probably in the end I will.
7) Castlevania (I would like to rank it higher, but due to the existence of Super Castlevania it is difficult to)
8. Circle of the Moon
9) Bloodlines
10) Aria

These are all the Castlevania games that I really like. Pretty much any of the top 6 have been called the best of the series, it just depends who you talk to (actually, I have heard people call Bloodlines the best as well).

SotN is one of my all time fav PS1 games. I had people over one time in college and someone stole it, i had to go buy the crappy greatest hits version... i hate that green border, i want my original!

Oh, you're still a loser for selling it, it's one of the best games of the generation

Sometimes you've gotta sell your own shit to pay for somebody else's fuck-ups.

SOrry, man, I meant to put a smiley after that. I was at work and was rushed during my lunch. It was really meant as a joke

But I feel your pain. My brother-in-law is a natural colossal fuck-up. My wife and I have to cover his ass all the time.

I know you were, don't sweat it. A couple of years ago my best friend of 15 years became a total emo pussy shut-in and couldn't hold a job. Had to pay the bills myself for a while.

I absolutely love the game. I have to say that I still can't find a good game where you will just sit around to listen to the music. Haven't heard good music like that on any of the other Castlevania games. About the only game in recent history with fantastic music was Zone of the Enders (both games).
