Japan is getting KH2:Final Mix which has all of the extra stuff that we got with KH2 in North America.
KH2:FM is also going to include a completely remade 3-D version of KH:COM for the GBA. Not only that, but you can also replay the story from KH2 using the card battle system.
If this game is released stateside, I will be buying it. haha

I doubt it will. =/
They've never released any of those remix packs over here. And with all the next gen systems already out they might not feel it's worth the time/money to translate all the game's extras and bring it back out over here.

I'd buy it, but I doubt they'll release it over here.

Assholes. They do this all the time. They make some changes to the US version. Then the Japanese get all pissy that they don't get to see the changes. So Square releases a Japanese version with even more changes. And we're left bitching that we don't get to see the additional changes.
Thus, Japan always wins.

Recently we've been getting updated versions of games (many bug fixes and slightly improved gameplay and modes) and releases before the Japs. The companies have started to realize that the NA market is not only bigger than the Jap market but is actually growing.

...if they thought they'd make money releasing over here, they would be.
It costs a lot to localize, RPGs especially. And most U.S. gamers would rather buy Madden. You act like we're entitled to every game Square ever makes.

As a budget release? No PS2 games are gonna come out at more than $40 anymore (GoW2 was that price) and I'm not so sure Squeenix would want to go through the trouble of localization of an RPG for that price
