Soooo good. I love the RPG element to this game. Anyone else here pick it up?
And on a side note, I'm the proud owner of a new DS lite (black). Went to play Puzzle Quest after I picked it up and grabbed my old DS 1st gen out of my suitcase (I take it to my girlfriend's with me, who currently lives out of town). For some fucked up reason, the touch screen refused to respond. I took it apart and checked all the cabling, but nothing seemed to be wrong. Very odd... :p

That game looks very very weird. Heh
I've watched the trailer, I don't even get what you do. O_o
Would I really like it?

You do puzzles (making a combo gives you "mana" of the color of the combo). As you level up, depending on what class you pick, you get skills that use different combinations of mana (like stun, which makes your opponent miss his next turn and deals 5 damage to him). You earn xp and gold through the puzzle battles. You use the gold to build up your city (dungeon to capture monster, stable to capture mounts, etc) as well as buy items (helms that help you mitigate damage, accessories that increase the mana you gain from combos, etc).
It has a complete story and world map. I dunno, if you like puzzle games, RPGs, and strategy, you'll love this game.

I played the demo for PC. Fun enough I guess...the "story" stuff all just seemed so generic.
I can see why it hit, but I'm not sure it's really for me. Three-matcher puzzle games get to be so generic after awhile (particularly when one used to work as a QA tester for Bejeweled on cell phones).

I've barely scratched the surface (lvl 5) but I can already tell it's a gem. No pun intended. I hope to put some more time into it over the weekend during my downtime between hockey games.
