Resident Evil 4 Wii edition in 2 months

Well, in Japan at least, the game is due out on the 31st of May. It comes fully upgraded with Wii remote mechanics, as well as all the elements of previous releases; I didn't own the game on Gamecube or PS2, so I am not exactly sure of the differences, but I guess this one is the best of both worlds. The game also comes with a preview to Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles which I believe is due for a late 2008 release. Other than that, I think most people know about RE4 here; it was very very well received by the critics. I think this version I'll actually shell out the cash on, I just never really got around to buying the game before (I take a long time with games now, I am still playing Twilight Princess and Final Fantasy 6 Advance).

I only played about 30 minutes of RE4 on the GC so I might pick this up.

It's a game called Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword. It uses the DS control abilities: The touch screen is used for actions and movements, and the trigger for defense. That is the decription magicbox gives, a bit strange unless the game is similar to Zelda: Ocarina of Time where jump is automatic.

I'd invest in a second copy of RE4 as long as it has more content than the PS2 version. I'm a little skeptical about how the controls will hold up, but as long as there is extra content that I cannot find anywhere else, I'll totally buy this.... Although I doubt there will be anything extra on top of the PS2 version :(

Alright, two updates:

Release Date North America: June 25th
Price: 29 USD.

Gameplay will see upgrades as well, though I do think that was a given, there'll be more details on this later.

A blatant attempt by developers to hop on the Wii bandwagon after they misjudged the popularity of the system pre-launch.

We're going to be seeing a shitload of 'shovelware' ports by 3rd party developers for the Wii. I don't think anyone besides Nintendo and 2nd party devs will actually innovate with the interface.

It's going to be next year when we start seeing some real innovations outside of Nintendo. A lot of them are just now scrambling to get their games on the system after it was so popular. Same thing happened with the DS

It is unfortunate I have to wait so long. My Wii has been sitting unplugged for three weeks. That streak will be broken today, however, for I have purchased Super Paper Mario!
