Well it's about freaking time. Now comes the hard part, which is waiting for the game to actually come out. But as with all Blizzard games, they'll release it when it's ready and not a moment before.

You can't hang, and you know it.
(Oh yeah, remember kendogg from WC3? I moved back in with him, and looks like he'll be getting this too. We'lll have to throw down some FFAs or something.)

I'm not really thrilled by this. Maybe it's because Warcraft 3 wasn't really all that great. It'd most likely the same old imbalanced stuff but with pretty graphics.
But maybe they could have a ranking Starcraft Fortress or Firebat Madness ladder, that might actually take more skill to win than just memorizing builds.

Comparing SC to WC3 is apples and oranges. Blizzard's not about to screw up the things that made SC the great game that it is, there's simply too much attention focused on it, especially in Korea where they play SC professionally. Some might call that a drawback since they're not taking the RTS genre in a whole new direction, but frankly if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Think they're the same thing, just different sizes.
Oh and don't let Don's negativity get to you, he'll be one of the first ones with a copy asking for a game or two to own us all with =o

If you guys are too antsy in your pantsy about waiting for this game, I suggest trying out Dawn of War. Word is that Blizzard just blatantly ripped off Warhammer in Warcraft, so an RTS of Warhammer 40K must be something like Starcraft 2. I've been a hopeless zealot of this game ever since I tried the demo. With both the expansions it houses 7 races and has a nice command point system that eliminates the need for resource gathering (much like the game relic made after this; Company of Heroes). I liked starcraft, but I found the resource gathering in RTS's (especially Warcraft 3.... urgh)to be a little too tedious for me, so this is a game that I found fit me very well. The second expansion, Dark Crusade, acts as a stand-alone game that houses all 7 races (but not in multiplayer matches... you need all 3 for that).

Dawn of War & Company Of Heroes both rock. You actually now have me wanting to play CoH...damn you!!
