"Let's Play" threads are a phenomenon of the Something Awful forums. Basically, someone plays through a game, takes screenshots, and provides snarky commentary. The FF8 one had me laughing for three days: http://fromearth.net/LetsPlay/FF8/

Note to people who love FF8: please spare us essays on the awesomeness of the game. I enjoyed it too, when I played it eight years ago. But there's plenty to make fun of.

Wow, that is long and pretty funny. Thats a lot of time spent, right there. Good way to kill a few hours and i'm only at the prison on disk two.

The game really is a full of idiots, lol.

I think FF8 is a lot more enjoyable if you ignore your main party because they're really some of the dumbest guys ever that have saved the world.

It's a slow start, but it gets better after chapter 4 or 5.

I love these threads. The Silent Hill ones are pretty good too.
