The game has a lot of dancer-prostitutes (these screens offer evidence of that), though that is not something abnormal for the Dragon Quest series in general.
"Here are some new images of Square Enix's Dragon Quest IV for Nintendo DS, a remake of the Super Famicom version with various new elements, such as 3D backgrounds (while characters remain in 2D), and possibly online mode."

Also, in FF4DS Rosa appears to now be a dancer-prostitute.

"Here are some new images of Square Enix's Final Fantasy IV for Nintendo DS, a 3D remake of the classic RPG, the characters will have new designs, and the game will have the classic Active Time Battle system, up to 5 characters can participate in battles at once. During battles, the bottom screen will display the character status and dialogs."

Both games are due out in Japan later this year, which means we'll probably see them in the spring unless they are already well underway on the translation efforts.

Mmmm Kain. What borderline but not quite gay things I would do with that character....in an RPG...fighting monsters of course.

Before he goes to bed, the Boogeyman checks his closet for Kain

The chief export of Kain is pain.

Kain does not sleep. He waits.

...

Wait a minute, I don't even LIKE FFIV. Overrated, archaic game. Half the characters you get stuck with suck ass.

I can't say that. I loved the game. but then again I look back fondly as it was the first game I played on the Super Nintendo. I loved it. thought it was amazing. becuase before that all we had seen was FF1. I thought the story was fascinating and it was only after studying story structure and writing for years that I realized just how horrid it was......Actually I can say it this way....It was great right up till the point where Zeromous comes in. because that's when you go from it being a well told story with decent character building and depth to it being complete shit. You do not thow a suprise ending villain in there. If Golbez had stayed the villain through the whole thing and ended as the final boss of the story it would have been amazing. instead it turned a great story to shit with one twist. you have to at least forshadow that for it to be a legit story move....you can't just throw it in there...fuckers

The original version is just that, I completely agree with you, I didn't like it very much even when it was still new. It just didn't hold up to its contemporaries. Though they fixed up almost everything I had complaints with during its last release for GBA, and added one of the best dungeons to ever be put into a game; I mean, this dungeon has towns in it! It's about as much dungeon as it is a new world to explore.

Luckily FF4 DS will completely rework the story among other things, thoroughly updating it for a contemporary audience (they learned about only updating the graphics with FF3 DS, a lot of people complained about various things -mostly the high difficulty which I think is BS, it is not THAT hard- though I love the game).

are they going to add forshadowing for the rediculously retarded zeromous reveal.....GIVE A FUCKING CLUE IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE A 180 ON THE STORY!

I have no idea. Though I didn't see anything wrong with how the Zeromus plotline went. I don't think it would make much sense to introduce him earlier since it wouldn't really serve a purpose, and would kind of mess up the idea that he was the one working things from behind the scenes; kind of like Dark Cloud in FF3. I mean, they could do it like they did with Lavos in Chrono Trigger, but then that would lessen the impact of Golbez. Although, I really liked the way Lavos was introduced, a beast being created by Magus to take revenge on the humans.... but it turned out to be quite different, and new details emerged with every step that you took until the showdown with Magus.

no but if you are going to do it in a way that isn't just shit wrting you need to bring some forshadowning into it.....there was non....you play the entirety of the start of the game going oh my god I've got to stop golbez.....then it's a sudden shift to....oh wait no the real bad guy is this and it comes out of nowhere. you need some frshadowing. something that makes you look ack and go....OOOOOOHHHH that's what that was......something that when the moment he's revealed hits it isn't a dry slap to the back of the head but rather a plot twist....

There was revelation about the Lunarians, a superior race to humans, from very early on in the game, so when you get to the point where Zeromus is revealed by FuSoYa, it isn't really out of nowhere.

At the time, FF2 was the only thing close to Phantasy Star 2 on any system. It was incredible when it came out although it's relatively dated now. That's why it's screaming for a remake, hence the DS version.

Incidentally, FF6 is screaming for a PS2+ level remake......
