We'll see after Mario Galaxy how the rest of the year looks like. I say they start passing them in summer next year

Now is that the # of consoles sold over a single month or a console total? I got the impression it was over a single month. In that case, I wouldn't be too excited for Sony. All it means is that everyone alreadys own a Wii so there are fewer people who still need one.

I will be curious after SMG comes out and then SSBB and Mario Kart next year. Those 3 are all big, big titles.

Actually you have it backwards, Wii sales dropped down to 20K per week last month, but started climbing again. PS3 sales have not really budged.

It's 1up, bad source. It is not because I hate gay people either; it is just a coincidence that their staff has a lot of homosexuals on it.... Though a LOT of gaming websites hire homosexuals; and videogame developers are often gay too. I always wondered why that is?

The numbers were reported exactly the same at every site. There was nothing wrong with the article, you just didn't read it properly.

The main point was that the Wii is fading. It was selling 60k a week before, now it's down to 25k a week. We'll see if Mario pushes it in November but if the PS3 can maintain almost 20k per week with NOTHING on the system, what's gonna happen when they do get something?

I probably didn't read it closely enough, though it looked like it was attributing it to PS3 being more successful, rather than the Wii being less successful for having a 5 month dry spell.

Wii numbers decreased through September and into October, but so did the numbers on all systems really. In the past few weeks they have been rising up again on all systems. Wii dropped down to 20K for two weeks, and went up to 24K and then 27K, and we'll see what happens now that November is here. Wii Fit, Dragon Quest, Mario, and Monster Hunter will help boost sales in Japan.
