yum.....not only does it look and play better than the ps3 version...it's got lag free online. yeah it's pretty bare bones but the lag freeness makes it awesome even though the people playing run from nooobs to insanely good and you rarely find anyone in between. it's still damned awesome to play. I've always love the VF games due to depth and how it pretty much requires you to master a specific charater. I still love te hell out of it. yeah I know there have been threads about how a lot of ya'll hate it. but I love it so fuck ya'll.....anyone else grab it or planning too? Or am I the only one who cares....

Virtua Fighter is gay. Play Street Fighter instead.
I may rent it, like I'll rent CoD4. Can't buy all these shits with ME and RB weeks away. Hmm... Gonna go see if Blockbuster got CoD4 now.

Fixed!
I'm trying to hold off on its purchase, but my resolve is weak. VF5 ties with Street Fighter for my favourite fighting series ever, but fuck have I spent a lot of money on games in the past couple of months, and fuck do I have a lot more to spend, even without picking up known-AAA but not quite must-buy games for me.

I was merely telling Chris what he didn't want to hear.
God dammit... I still have much GH3 to play and I haven't played nearly as much Halo as I'd like. TOO MANY GAMES! I hate being employed.

good. at least I'm not the only one Andrew. game is fucking awesome and has had me obsessed with futzing around with the new characters and trying to decide who to concentrate my playtime on this tim around. really liking it though.....I'm thinking of trying to master goh as he's fuckin hard as hell to use. as it is I've already got way too many hours cranked on the fucker.....gonna burn out my x-box.....can't wait for mass efect to pull me away frm this ad haloz

Speaking of haloz, I'm going to be on that tonight.
Do you have an arcade pad? I can't imagine using the 360's d-pad for a fighter. I had to use an Xbox-Dual Shock adapter for SF: Anniversary.

Haha! If you were unemployed you wouldn't be able to afford the games. It's a vicious circle! The only answer is to somehow become unimaginably rich.

I've been secretly praying for some time that my restaurant gets bought and I get a severance cheque as part of the deal. I just can't take a month vacation like I'd like to.

I actually made sme alterations to my gamepad. take it all apart and sand the casing around where the d-pad pops out and it makes it work a hell of a lot better. actually I have no problems with it anymore....

Would you believe I almost cancelled my trip solely because Mass Effect was coming out shortly after I left (plane tickets, non-refundable)? That much of a fanboy...
If the street date fell a few days closer to my departure date instead of my return date - I almost definately would have.

heh. I already intend to play thought it a few times with different qualities every time to get a feel for it.
but still....VF is well worth the money. I'm loving it

I picked this up last week. It is, as expected, transcendently great. Just need to pick up an arcade stick, now...
Which characters do you play, Chris? Between this and VF4 Evo particularly, if I play any character other than Goh, it's like a different game.

right now it's usually Sarah and I've really started to like Brad. once you get a handle on his dodging he's awesome. I sometime also like Lau. but yeah 90% of the time it's Sarah

Ah yep, I used to like playing Sarah, and Brad's a lot of fun to play. His rhythm really throws me off when fighting against him.
I tried playing El Blaze earlier today — I like throw-y characters — but his move-set is really tricky! I feel like I really need an arcade stick to be able to pull of his combos; the d-pad and analogue stick just aren't doing it for me.

yeah I do like blaze though. he's insanely fast and mixes up his strikes. Eileen is crazy when you fight people that are really good with her....
