I want this game but it's only available online at US retailers. Here the kicker: motherless fucks at EA have given specific instructions for them not to ship to Canada. I tried both EB Games and Amazon.com and they won't ship that particular product to Canada.
So other than those sites, what other sites do you know are selling this game?

Newegg and GoGamer don't have it... why is it barred from Canada?

Fucking positive. I've been getting my bud at EB to ask about it and they can't bring it in. I just tried getting it from Circuit City and it wasn't available there.
They're fucking us in the ass on this one.....

I have cousins in the US I can ship it to but thanks for the offer
Ebay is a little on the expensive end and I'd like it a bit sooner if possible, which is why I'm trying to get one sent to my home here and not to a US address. I already tried DeepDiscountDVD as well....
I really have no idea why it's just not even coming up here at all. They went out of their way to ensure it don't get shipped here....and it's being developed by a Canadian company in a Canadian city. Very odd

I grow more depressed as each day passes leading up to Mass Effect's release. I mean, I'm excited for it, but the wait is KILLING me. I wish there was still a K-Mart around here.

I can wait a little. I still have to finish HL2: Episodes 1 and 2. Just finished HL2 proper this weekend.

I thought the ending was rather quick and short, but it's supposed to be episodic, so I can't complain.
Who the fuck is the Black Mesa guy that keeps putting you back in cryo sleep? I admit that I haven't beat the first game (stopped about halfway through), so I'm probably missing a lot.

the g-man? the guy who talks all funny and enjoys playing with time and space? He's Gordon's sort of promoter.... The Don King of the Half-Life universe. Perhaps you will learn more about him as you play through the other episodes..... indeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed

According to a story on Kotaku, Mass Effect is selling at EB in Australia... so go get it, Andrew, you prick!
I'm especially upset about this because I got a call from Blockbuster today but didn't catch it until I checked my phone an hour ago. When I called them back to find out why they called me, it was because they had gotten Mass Effect in...... but I couldn't go get it until midnight Monday.
Fuckers.

Done and done! Grabbed it in my lunch break this afternoon. I'm not sure why, though; I'm probably going to be playing the stupidly addictive COD4 all weekend (I just unlocked the G3 ACOG scope!). Fucking impulse purchases!

Jesus Christ, I
hate when they do that.

Halo 3 was dominating the backroom of my bud's EB starting on the Thursday before the Tuesday launch. Guitar Hero 3 was there the Wednesday or so before the Sunday launch and that's A LOT of room taken up in the backroom, which is usually pretty small. They do it all the time, they're just not supposed to call you and let you know when it came in, just when it's supposed to be available

Bovine, just wanted to show you why I wanted this so badly and why I appreciate it so much

It really is that damned limited. Important for me as a collector. It was going to be a Subsistence Limited-type situation and you helped me and my bud at Ubisoft avoid that.
Thanks

I really don't get the hype over collector's editions... they give you an art book and a behind-the-scenes DVD for an extra $20? Screw that... unless you're going to give me something to improve my gaming experience with said product, forget it. Games are expensive as it is.

Extra $10. Particularly for games, that's a great package of extras. Look at all of the other "collector's" editions that have come out recently (like Assassin's Creed) they pale in comparison. Even the Bioshock one, which had a kick-ass figure, wasn't as good in terms of content. It's even better than the Halo Limited stuff.
For a collector, something like this that's actually limited is worth it (looking at the prices it's going for on Ebay, it's quite limited). For a fan, there's enough content - good content - it's worth it. It's a great Limited Edition
