I own a lot of games from their Honourable mentions list. Didn't know SNES RPGs in English were that rare, I have all 97 of them.

it went for $286.99, and I think I'm going to put my copy up on the ol' ebay if it's fetching that price.

Where did you get yours?

Nintendo Power catalogue when I was a wee lad. I bought it accidentally, thinking it was a special edition of the full game.... which it most certainly is not.

Earthbound, Lufia, Final Fantasy
II and III, Breath of Fire Series, various RPGs (SNES;
NTSC-U)**
** These are not truly rare, their high prices are due only to demand.
I did think momentarily "Hey, I could sell BoF I & II" but then I figured it would be a lot of work, and I like having them around. They're not good, but I might throw it in for a few minutes for kicks.
You can pry FF2 and FF3 US from my cold, dead hands. I wish I still had CT, a "friend" of mine lost it. Asshole.

There's a gamestore beside me that just got in a FF3 US and occasionally they will see the CT. If you would like, I can grab one for you. Might be in the $40 range or so for cart only, but I could keep an eye out if you like.

Actually, I'd really appreciate that. I'd buy one on sight, and I know they're on e-bay, but I don't have an e-bay account, and I'd rather not fuck with it. But I trust you, while I don't trust some random shmuck on e-bay. So if you saw one, I'd love to have it. $40 plus shipping is probably less than what I'd pay on e-bay.
Has anyone played the version of CT emulated on the PS? It's kinda heartbreaking that you know there's this amazing game in front of you, but the load times add a 3 second pause to every battle, and a 10 second pause to every menu access. It doesn't sound like much, but it hurts the experience.

OK, Kup, I'll put in a request at that shop I go to if they see another one (they had one in there a month ago) to let me know. I know the owners and all the workers, they'll at least tell me there's one even if one of them decides to keep it. But at least I can convince them if I know they have it. As you can imagine, the workers generally buy them for themselves to keep or sell on Ebay, but I'll use the best of my Arab bullshitting and convincing techniques to get them to cough it up :-)
I'll do whatever I can to get a box, book, and maps, but you know that's just luck of the draw. It may cost a little more if it's complete, too, but I'm sure you'll be OK with that. I can promise that it won't cost full Ebay prices, but probably pretty close. Is $60 a good limit for a complete one or will you be willing to go a bit higher?
In the meantime, if you keep an eye out for some Ebay auctions, you MAY be able to sneak in a steal one for a good price, like this one:

Yeah, $60 is a good ceiling, and the manuals and box don't concern me. Thanks a bunch. I'll have to figure out a return favor.

I haven't done ya anything yet, man. Let me see if I can get it first. Just fair warning, it may be a few months to up to a year before I see one. I'm pretty sure you already know that, but I just wanted to make the point it may be a while.....or may be tomorrow. Used is quite finicky that way, especially for these rare things.
I waited 4 years for a used Hoshigama for PSX and the ONLY other guy who goes to that store who would care got there about an hour before me and got it. I tease him about it almost every weekend when I see him and he happily returns the favour :-)

Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy II & III, Earthbound, Illusion of Gaia, Actraiser, Lufia 1&2, Kirby Superstar, Uncharted Waters, Ogre Battle, among the dozens of games. All for just $300 if you buy soon, I would say it is worth it, I would get it if I didn't own almost all of those games anyway. What I need is a new North American SNES, I would get the smaller one. Though I am going to wait and see how the VC does over the next year or two, I'm in no rush.

Damn, I still wish I had my copy of Rez. I let somebody borrow it and he just won't admit that he lost it, even though I've asked him countless times to give it back.
BTW, I had a pirated copy of both Bounty Bob games (for the ATARI XL computer series), but I guess that doesn't count.

It was re-released on the DS a couple months ago. It's a strategy RPG that was released RIGHT at the end of the PSXs life, so it's not exactly easy to find
