I think the major sin here is that Chrono Trigger is 18th place on their top 100 list. It is probably the most widely appealing RPG ever created, and is considered a favourite among a large amount of people, it ranked #2 on IGN's people's choice last year or the year before (forget now).
Anyway:
10) Resident Evil 4
9) Final Fantasy III
8 ) Link to the Past
7) Super Metroid
6) Half Life 2
5) Super Mario 64
4) Ocarina of Time
3) Sid Meier's Civilization II
2) Tetris
1) Super Mario Brothers
Personally: I do not agree with this list. Super Mario Brothers, while it was an incredibly groundbreaking game, did not really win my heart in the way that other NES titles did, I would not put this one even close to my top 10.
Tetris, I can see why it was there, it's a game that people still play heavily.
Civilization 2, Haha, I was an addict, I can't argue against this one.
Ocarina of Time, I would probably have as #1 or #2 on my list personally, I think Civ 2 might be the one game that I could put over it.
Super Mario 64, didn't like it.
Half Life 2, didn't like it
Super Metroid, thought it was decent, but got bored of it each time I attempted playing it.
Link to the Past, I enjoy playing this game, but not that much, I feel it is the most overrated game in the series. I wouldn't put it in my top 50.
Final Fantasy III, I think this game is placed exactly how it should be, though I disagree with the games ahead of it, and the games behind it.
Resident Evil 4, certainly deserving of a top 10 spot, I was actually shocked at how awesome this game was when I played it for Wii; though I don't understand how people could like it as much with the Gamecube controls, I find them kind of frustrating.
I was going to make a top 10 list myself, but I don't think I would be able to decide on an order between games like: FF8, Terranigma, Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, etc... I really like them all, but I woulnd't be able to put one over the other, even though I have multiple times in the past. My top 3 are Ocarina of Time, Civilization II, and Skies of Arcadia. Mario Galaxy has a chance to pop into the group with Ocarina of Time and such, I am REALLY enjoying this game, time will tell; Ocarina of Time I was very sure about, last time I played it was this winter, I still like it quite a bit.
