  • Hey Don, MM: Advent.

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

This game introduces a new model called Model A, at first I didn't really put much thought behind it, but then I remembered that Capcom introduced that new kid to the X Series near the end, Axl.

Model A = Model Axl? This model copies the look/abilities of defeated bosses.

Model A doesn't stand for Axl, but obviously you're supposed to think it's that.

I didn't actually play the game, but it looks exceedingly tedious when you've to do a transformation to model H every time you need to double jump, and then immediately back for some other ability. The next game is supposed to star Master Thomas as the villian, you know, like Master Thomas Light, but I heard the game flopped in Japan so they won't have enough money to make a sequel. Oh well.

Meh, I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I actually used Model H.

I spent the latter half of the game in Model ZX after you finally get it, because it's so absurdly overpowered there's never a reason to use any other model after you acquire ZX you can brute-force your way through the entire game once you get it.

It's too bad if it really flopped in Japan. =/ I actually enjoyed it.

From the videos I watched you either need a double jump or be a master at the dash-under manuever to avoid at least one of the last boss's attacks. I suppose if you've played so many megaman games you'd get used to the dash-under trick but it's a bit demanding for anyone relatively new to the series, and if you can't pull off the dash-under you'd have to double jump every time to avoid some attacks.

And what's with the stupid seraph wings around model ZX...

On the subject of flop, I heard they'd make a sequel if they sold 100K in Japan, but it did not. So we'll probably never hear anything from Master Thomas, or stuff like whatever happened to Ciel.

Did you finish the game? You should know what the A starts for if you're done.
