Advanced Wars fufills my fantasies

I have loved the advanced wars games. They are amazing, even though I may not be particularly good at them. This new iteration comes with some interesting new vehicles (not just escalating the tank size, finally), a higher price on infantry, and a sexy new art style and dark tone that sets it apart from the gameboy iterations. Yeah, this series was around since the famicom, but whatever. I just beat Mass Effect last night and am now officially out of single player games, so I eagerly wait in anticipation for this little number.
EDIT!
oh yeah, here's a link.

I like Advance Wars too. The first one, anyway, as it's the only one I've played.
How did you like Mass Effect? (THREADJAK'D)

alright, let me give me post-christmas videogame regiment to you for your full understanding of my impressions of the game..... I ran through uncharted:drake's fortune because I thought it was going to be terrible, but it was gorgeous and great and had the most amazing speech animation that I have ever seen. Then it was Ratchet and Clank:Future that was a big snorefest disappointment. Then off to Assassin's Creed that blew away my initial expectations of crappiness. It was pretty awesome, but I was getting a little bored by the last 2 missions. So I had basically gone through the games with the greatest console graphics ever, and then on to mass effect. The first thing I noticed were how the textures enjoyed drawing in while in cutscene or when I was playing the game. That was super lame, and the graphics were not really as good as I thought they were going to be. The speech animation was good for lip-syncing, but other than that it was kind of just average. I really hated the combat system during my first play-through and up until the end when I was amazing and unable to be killed sue to completing many side mission, it was just too easy. The story was pretty amazing though (except that it's EXACTLY like the matrix storyline), I really enjoyed each and every NPC that joined your crew, thought the love/sex sidestory was pretty neat, enjoyed romping across the galaxy to save some dude being held by some L2s, and LOVED the ending. I'm on my second play-through right now, and I'm enjoying it, wished I had ramped the difficulty up a bit though. It seems much easier now that I know where all the enemies are, and I didn't get the hang of giving orders to my team until the 3/4 of my first playthrough.
I haven't read your guys' Mass Effect-related posts and threads since I did not want to spoil anything, so this is just my opinion on the game. Oracle told me to pour my points into Charm or Intimidate as his non-spoiler helpfulness, and that made some of the game easier for me. It was like KOTOR, but more exciting with the real-time combat. I hope they make it look better and don't hand the IP over to some idiots for a crappy sequel like the KOTOR2. That game was a pain.
over and out.

Aside from out MSN conversation, I'll just say I didn't think KOTOR 2 was nearly as bad as some make it out to be (incomplete, sure), and... you thought Uncharted would be terrible? Why?

My grandson, he's got this fantasy CD. A Sakaduchi? Can you play it in the store? It keeps him from acting up.

-=SPOILERS FOR THE PUSSIES WHO HAVEN'T PLAYED MASS EFFECT=-
No-- it's the Matrix minus the whole prophecy bullshit.
Sentient computers using people as energy and letting them reach a certain level of maturity in an environment they created and mold before they cull and feed, then start over.

Yeah, I didn't really see it either. Not a lot in common apart from mechanical enemies, which are in just about every scifi you can imagine anyway. It's a lot closer to BSG than the Matrix, in my opinion.

Might want to spoiler tag that stuff, Tess.

Well, Shepard dies in the end. I thought everybody knew that.
I've got Advanced Wars, but I still have to catch up with Phoenix Wright. Just now finished the final case on the first game. Damn, that one was a bitch and long, too.

Didn't think of that... since it's an Advance wars thread, hah.
-=MORE SPOILERS BELOW BITCHES=-
BSG battles the Cylons, and they created them. This is definitely more Matrix style. Machines in the background shaping the world to their liking and using you as fuel. Restarting civilization when they decide they're done.

Did you just turn off the game when you thought that happened or are you being a fucker?
