Hahaha, well they have had guest characters in Soul Calibur before, so it is not a huge stretch. Is this for the Japanese market too?

It's a nice PS3 game to look forward to. Hopefully the system is down to a good price for a videogame system soon.

When SC3 had the make your own character mode, a lot of poeple were using it to create the likeness of their favorite character from elsewhere. So if you can't beat them, why not join them?

But if they put the Star Wars characters, they better be above using Soul Calibur/Soul Edge. There's a parody dojinshi in Japan where people are trying to conjure up a weapon more well known than Excalibur, and they ended up getting a Lightsaber (and then it was noted that manga characters do not know how to use the Force so it was no use to them). Now you can argue whether a Lightsaber is really the most legendary sword ever, but it is certainly far above Soul Calibur/Soul Edge.

Thats a very interesting point that could be a topic itself. Of all things Lucas and shitty, he hit the nail on the head with the lightsaber... truly legendary.

Well the video says 'The soul swords may have met their match" so it indeed looks like Yoda and Darth Vader would have no use for the Soul Calibur/Edge, which makes sense.

I think you're right. There's no excuse to split them up other than to squeeze a paid download out of people who want both.
