Stephen King wrote:It was too easy for critics to claim — falsely, it turned out — that Cho Seung-Hui (the Virginia Tech killer) was a fan of Counter-Strike; I just wish to God that legislators were as eager to point out that this nutball had no problem obtaining a 9mm semiautomatic handgun. Cho used it in a rampage that resulted in the murder of 32 people. If he'd been stuck with nothing but a plastic videogame gun, he wouldn't even have been able to kill himself.
Very well said.

I dunno, that zapper had a pointy tip on it. You could TOTALLY kill yourself with that.

*EDIT*

dug out the zapper and it's not as pointy as I remembered.... but I still think you could sharpen it up and do yourself in with it.

Er... I believe by that point you might as well just go use a pair of scissors of steak knives :P

Gotta love it when no one calls those assholes out for making such callous unfounded claims, as if it would have made a difference if he did anyway. That's like someone driving around running people down on the sidewalk and people go "well he drove to work EVERY DAY so of course!"

Glad to see people are seeing the wisdom in gun control.

King spoiled major elements of season 4 of The Wire in a pre-season review. I will never forgive him.

I know it was linked to a EW article online, but I noticed that this article was on the back page of the latest Entertainment Weekly. Hopefully, it will get some publicity.
