In first with record breaking sales, the Wii sold 721,000 units in March. The DS followed in second place with 698,000 units sold. These mark the highest sales a system has ever done in a month outside of the Holiday season: November and December. These numbers are MASSIVE, far beyond anything from March before in history.

I don't remember anything special going down in March... what would have caused this to happen?

Shipment increase. There was a larger supply available this month for North America.

It sounds like it's a store in Akiharbara (sp?) which by defintion would make it a hardcore gamer thing.
I've never heard of the title in question and usually converted dating sim genres don't do well on the console, probably because of most of them actually suck.

Smash Brothers. 'Nuff said.
Well, that and the increase in supply
Wait to see what April and May are gonna be like with Mario Kart and Wii Fit, respectively, coming out

I dunno. I was at GDC for a day and wow did it smell bad by their respective zones.......although that could be because the only thing smellier than a building full of comic fans is a building full of gamers.....
