I'm getting mine tonight and will be playin' it next week. 5th anniversary on Saturday, kinda put a dent in the MGS4 plans :-)

BTW, Walmart is giving a $100 gift card with any Blu-Ray player purchse..which includes the bundled MGS4 + PS3

That Walmart deal has me itching to pick up a PS3, but I know I wouldn't really use it for anything except possibly MGS4 in a few months.

Uncharted, Eye of Judgement, Time Crisis 4, and Resistence are the only other games out I would care about. Little Big Planet I'd love to get and I'd get a cheaper GoWar 3. There are some PSN titles (Everyday Shooter, Super Stardust, flow) I'd be interested in too, but not enough to spend $500 on the system (the 40GB isn't an option to me)

Not to mention Fallout 3, Socom Confrontation and Civ Revolutions and BioSock.

TC4 and Uncharted would be worth it to me for sure. I know that with GTA4, I'll be busy for a while. There's always Rock Band and I am playing through Crackdown on my gold account now.

Go out, get the Metal Gear 4 PS3. It's a win win situation. You can explain it to the ball n'chain later. Explain to her you have a penis and it acts impulsively.

Fallout 3 - comin' for 360 as well; already pre-paid
Bioshock - didn't I bet this game 9 months ago?
Socom - WHO CARES?
Civ Revolutions - zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

All of these games except SOCOM are on the 360, and if you want something like SOCOM, Rainbow Six: Vegas 1&2 are much better (according to all of the 5 star reviews I've seen).

You're worse than Seeker sometimes.

1. They're completely different games.
2. You're cherry-picking reviews if you've seen a bunch of 5-star ratings for the RSV titles. They're solid three or four star games.
3. SOCOM isn't even out yet.

Sorry, thought SOCOM was the same class of game. So, what is SOCOM and what's so hot about it?

Also, here's an excerpt from Wiki about R6:V:

The Xbox 360 edition of Rainbow Six: Vegas was released to very positive reviews from major gaming news outlets, such as GameSpy (5/5),[1] GameSpot (9.1/10),[2] IGN (9.3/10),[3] and TeamXbox (9.5/10).[4] IGN called Vegas the "best first-person shooter on the Xbox 360", while GameSpot described the game as an "excellent, immersive tactical shooter". G4's X-Play also liked the game, putting it on their 2006 Holiday Buyer's Guide, and also giving it a perfect 5 out of 5.

Rainbow Six Vegas has won numerous awards, including "Best First-Person Shooter",[5] "Best Xbox 360 First-Person Shooter",[6] "Best Online Game",[7] and "Best Xbox Live Game"[8] in IGN's Best of 2006, as well as an "Editor's Choice Award" from GameSpot. Gaming Target also selected the title as one of "52 Games We will Still Be Playing From 2006".[9] It also received the "Best Online Game" award from OXM in their annual Game of the Year awards.

So, what was I cherry-picking again? While the second R6:V wasn't rated as high as the first, it still had good ratings and mostly the complaints was that it was too similar to the first.
