Except for Final Fantasy XIII

Eh, honestly, considering I don't own and don't see myself owning a PS3 for a good long while, FFXIII is not a huge concern to me ATM. But the new Star Ocean on the 360 may finally push me over the edge into getting one, once we get another price drop on it.

Final Fantasy 13 probably got pushed back, Square seems to always delay the FF games a year or two. I think FF8 was the only one to come out on time, since FF4.

As far as FF13 at E3 goes, I am already sold on it so it doesn't matter to me. I thinK Square will probably surprise people with footage, and probably FF5 DS footage as well.

A 360 Star Ocean?

YAY! This fills me with joy. I hope they take full advantage of the online capabilities. Star Ocean is one of the few series' (especially with the plot revelations in the last Star Ocean game) that really ought to have additionally downloadable content. My dream, nerdy as it may be, would be that they create a virtual sort of Eternal Sphere on Xbox Live, with extra dungeons, planets, towns and events, making the game a lot less linear.

How come the 360 is the jrpg system to buy so far? Do the japanese really not want to stop playing their ps2s?

The 360 has yet to get a real A-level RPG though, but I think at this point the only non-remake A-level RPGs announced are DQ9 and FF13. I think we might be hearing about a lot more very soon, perhaps next week. There is rumour that Namco is working on a flagship Tales game. Matsuno, Tetsuya Takahashi, and Sega have been quiet lately as far as RPGs go.

No reason to move them yet. Hundreds of millions of PS2s out there, PS3 ain't sellin' too hot, everyone's still trying to catch-up on Wii development since only 2 companies foresaw its success, and really, most JRPGs not from Squeenix don't really need the extra graphical boost to sell. So M$ tosses coin at developers and they take it since they're probably making the 360 game for the price of a PS2 one.

Well, if you're going to lump Dragon Quest in there, you might as well say Blue Dragon. They both suck as much. Quite frankly, if that is the definition of "A-level RPGs", then I want no part in it.

There are rumors that Sunday Microsoft will be announcing a price drop on the 360, actually. http://news.cnet.com/8301-10784_3-99853 ... l?hhTest=1

Yeah, I think you're just a LITTLE mistaken there. Notice how I wrote little in big letters?

Well, if the Arcade drops to $200 it'll be a huge deal (down to $229, right?). And if it makes the PS3 drop I'll be happy
