E3: FF13 announced for Xbox 360

They didn't specify which version, I assume it is both. I am still going to get the PS3 version, though, when it comes out. That is, unless the Xbox 360 is significantly cheaper than the PS3 when the game is released.

That's fucking huge for Microsoft.

I bet they paid a huge amount for it, but I suppose they have the money =)
Actually, what will probably be the main determining point is RPGs: the system that has the most that I want will be the one I buy when FF13 comes out. Or if Sony comes out with a smaller slimline model of the PS3, I would much rather have that thing around then the current massive version.

not a timed exclusive or anything. First day ffxiii hits the shelves it's gonna be for both consoles. I like multiplatform games because it usually makes everyone happy.

YES YES YES YES!
Ok...1 of my 2 reasons for getting a PS3 are now available on the Xbox. If KH3 gets announced for the Xbox, I won't need a PS3 at all.
If I had a PS3, I'd probably grab MGS4, Drake's, etc, but neither of those are enough to warrant a system purchase. This is sweet news.

I was just about to post this.
Did I not call this? Yes, I did call this.
Except Sony. Sony is probably shitting bricks right now. Stock price drop in 3... 2... 1...

Pretty rad. I don't imagine Sony is too busted up over it, though. It won't make a lick of difference in Japan.

Perhaps you will also recall no one actually disagreed with you.

I'm sure Seeker did. Just look at him:

Ummm...the 360 will be dropping its price and the PS3 isn't. Also, there's absolutely no point to buying a PS3. I think you are too proud to buy a 360 because somehow it would make me right, and that would really just fuck up your world.
You can buy it in secret and nobody would know.

Yep, fucking racists. It's almost like how rednecks view their Ford/Chevy trucks, even though Japan is kicking their ass in cars.

One, Seeker doesn't count. Ever. Two, as I pointed out, Sony said that cutting the price was not a part of their current plans, not that their plan is to not cut the price. At some point in the future, the price will be cut. Multiple times, in fact.

Plans change, and you don't at all factor into my videogame purchase decisions kiddo.

Explain the racism here.
Also, in reply to Andrew, the Japanese won't be buying the Xbox 360 version because the game is still exclusive to PS3 in Japan.

Japanese are still pretty xenophobic in general; ask anyone from North America who's lived over there for any decent length of time (I've had a few friends do so and another going in the fall) and they can tell you the looks they'd get from people while walking around and such. I don't think I'd call it racism, but it's one or two rungs below it.

I've explained it two or three times before. Look it up.

I've never found Japanese to be very racist at all. Not wanting an Xbox does not mean they're racist. Would you also call all non-English speaking countries who don't want an Xbox either to be racist? or what about all the female gamers who don't want an Xbox, are they racist?
I don't disagree with Tessian's post though.

xenophobia and racism are both forms of discrimination. not wanting an X-Box because it's not made in Japan (by Japanese) makes them racist. xenophobia is worse than racism imo. xenophobia is the blanket hatred of everyone that's dissimilar from your own, without giving anyone a chance, at the least racism is sometimes based on isolated incidents.
is there any way to generalize that about female gamers? if a woman doesn't buy something for no other reason than that it was made by a man, that would make her sexist.
